The 5th Annual "For the Love of Chocolate" Gala at The French Pastry School at City Colleges of Chicago will take place on February 6, 2010 with some new exciting elements to our chocolate extravaganza. This year, you will find additions to the cocoa theme including the Chocolate Bar, and Voodoo Lounge, plus new partners and sponsors in the Cocoa Sutra room, Cocoa Lounge, and Cocoa Cuisine making this year's For the Love of Chocolate the most thrilling, unique event yet!

For the Love of Chocolate is complete only with Chicago's best cuisine, including offerings from the city's top chefs such as Rick Bayless of Frontera Grill, Topolobampo and XOCO, Charlie Trotter of Charlie Trotter's, Jean Joho of Everest, Dominique Tougne of Bistro 110, Art Smith of Table 52, Paul Bartolotta of The Bartolotta Restaurants, and Jean Claude Poilevey of La Sardine.

Among the new components to the gala will be the Voodoo Lounge complete with our very own Witch Doctor DJ, Roberto Ayala, palm and Tarot card readers, a Voodoo "Priestess" crafting exotic chocolate elixirs, along with divine desserts prepared by Chicago's preeminent pastry chefs and chocolatiers.

Following the Cocoa Lounge, Cocoa Sutra, Cocoa Cuisine, and Voodoo Lounge, you will be guided back to the large first-floor lobby, transformed to a lively dance party called the Chocolate Bar with Hip Hop artist extraordinaire, Anacron as your DJ. The space will be equipped with a spectacular eight-foot chocolate bar where you can scrape off a piece of the bar to add to your warm chocolate drink of choice, or eat the high-quality couverture all by itself!
