The French Pastry School: What was your background previous to pastry, and what led you to pursue a pastry education?
Drew Weaver: Marketing with a Fortune 500 company. My passion for eating - but mostly making other people happy.
FPS: What has been the most surprising or eye-opening moment for you so far in the program?
DW: Just being able to be a student was a surprising moment for me. It was a dream in the making for 7 years that finally came true.
FPS: What are your plans following graduation?
DW: Work in a fine dining restaurant under a pastry chef who will help me fine-tune my skills.
FPS: Where do you see yourself in five years? Where do you hope to be?
DW: I see myself having successfully operated a food truck with sweet and savory foods. My goal is to successfully run a restaurant.
FPS: In the future, what will you look back on and remember most vividly about your time as a student at The French Pastry School?
DW: How the chefs took the time to know each student and give their all in making sure each student successfully learned the art of pastry and not just completing school.
