For the Love of Chocolate Foundation awards scholarships to students in the full-time programs taught by The French Pastry School at City Colleges of Chicago, promoting commitment in pastry arts education for individuals looking to change careers, as well as individuals who have shown potential in the culinary field but have no formal pastry education.

Anacron

Anacron is the personification of Hip Hop; a passionate rapper, singer, producer, DJ, musician, breakdancer, and performer. This veteran of Los Angeles’ flourishing independent rap scene is known among elite circles of Hip Hop aficionados for his extensive solo career, and landmark collaborations with icons at multiple industry levels. After 15 years of preferred industry anonymity, recent projects and recognitions have solidified his worth as more than just an underground rapper. The year 2011 will mark the start of Anacron’s long-deserved journey to the forefront of the eclectic hip hop scene, and he is ready to show and prove, and claim this decade as his own.

Diana Cameron is a veteran psychic with 45 years of experience in a myriad of fields.  At her 15 year-old storefront in Chicago, Cameron offers tarot card, psychic, palm, aura, astrological chart, and even past life regression readings.  Her family shares her gift and passed it on to her daughter, who first starting feeling her special talent at age five. 

The family will be offering their supernatural services in the Cocoa Sutra and will be donating a share of their proceeds to the For the Love of Chocolate Foundation.

CLF music is an Indo-Arabic instrumental project that focuses on the melodies of the Sitar (a popular North Indian Instrument). With the help of Rune Palland on Arabic percussion and Mike List on Indian percussion, the music seeks to integrate classical eastern music into a rock-electronic context.

Erin McDougald, Chicago’s “Flapper Girl”

Critically acclaimed, Chicago-based Jazz Vocalist Erin McDougald captivates international audiences with her dulcet, evocative voice and savvy rhythmic phrasing. Gaining nods of respect for her burgeoning artistry from Jazz authorities such as Gene Lees, Nicholas Payton, Keely Smith, Buddy Bregman, Freddie Cole and Oscar Peterson, McDougald’s prowess lies in her innovative arrangements, emotional interpretations and her several octave vocal range. McDougald is also an ambassador with The China Jazz Project as well as an active Music Advisor for students at Columbia College Chicago. With three nationally-aired albums under her lead, Erin’s enthusiastic audience continues to grow.
