Anacron

Anacron is the living, breathing personification of the pseudo culture called Hip Hop.  A true modern renaissance artist, he is the master of many forms of expression.  Musically, he is an instrumentalist, a composer, a songwriter, a music producer, and a disc jockey.  However, his talents expand beyond the audible ranges of artistic output; Anacron is also a graffiti artist, a visual artist, a graphic designer, a break-dancer, as well as an accomplished businessman.

Chris Freeman

CLF music is an Indo-Arabic fusion project that is largely
instrumental. With the help of Rune Palland (on Dumbek) and Mike List (on Tabla) the music seeks to integrate classical Indian and Arabic music into a rock-electronic context. However, this project is more than just a fusion of Eastern and Western sounds. The primary aim of my music has always been to respect, as much as possible, the ancient musical and spiritual traditions of the East in a way that inspires the listener to engage and appreciate life more deeply.

Lindsay Koriath

Lindsay is thrilled to transform from “Admissions Counselor” at The French Pastry School (by day) into “Cocoa Lounge Singer” at this year’s For The Love of Chocolate event. She has performed music since a young age, singing and playing classical piano. For The Love of Chocolate marks her premier as a jazz pianist/singer.

Elizabeth Lindau

Violin

When not filling the air with melody for the enjoyment of chocolate-filled partygoers, Elizabeth performs as a violinist for the Chicago-based orchestral pop band, Canasta.  Their music has been praised by critic Jim Derogatis as, "...effortless, effervescent pop that doesn't call undue attention to its carefully constructed layers of intertwining melodies ... the ork-pop genre has produced some of the best bands in the Chicago underground in the last decade ... Canasta certainly deserves a place on this list ..."

Eric Ziegenhagen

Eric Ziegenhagen is a self-taught singer-songwriter.  He released his first CD, You're Talking to the Wrong Guy, in 2005.  He has performed throughout Chicago at the House of Blues, Schubas, Uncommon Ground, and elsewhere.  This will be his second year performing at For The Love of Chocolate with his mostly instrumental trio, which features Elizabeth Lindau on violin and John Saunders on saxophone.
